About Us about us
Born in Hobart in 1989, Amy grew up in Queenstown on Tasmanias West Coast, pursuing hobbies of public speaking, volunteering, reading obsessively and searching for new challenges.
After graduating from Mountain Heights School, Amy moved to Hobart to pursure further education completing the TCE at St. Michaels Collegiate School and going on to study a Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Economics at the University of Tasmania. Amy also gained admission to the Cadetship program offered by the Department of Treasury and Finance, joining the Department at the end of her first semester.
Amy has a keen interest in creating change, whether in Government, in communities or in individual people. Through her work with numerous community organisations Amy has gained a wealth of experience with helping individuals and groups create change on a small and large scale.
Amys longest project involved working with former statewide youth organisation, the Festival of Dreams. Amy trained as a mentor, facilitator and took up a position on the Committee of Management to help further the projects of youth in Tasmanian communities. After this organisation disbanded, Amy looked for a new way to help contribute to the Tasmanian community and support individuals who wanted to create and inspire change. This lead to her undertaking a Diploma of Life Coaching and founding Career Strategies Tasmania.
